Senate Passes Air Safety Measure, Reversing Provision in Defense Bill

After the Jan. 29 midair collision between a commercial jet and an Army helicopter near Ronald Reagan National Airport outside Washington, the federal government tightened restrictions on when military aircraft could fly without enhanced tracking technology.
